Method 1 — Direct Pairing via Settings (2021+ Models)
Step 1: Put your Bluetooth device in pairing mode.
Step 2: Press Home on your Roku remote.

Device Not Showing Up in the List
This is the most frequent complaint. Work through these in order.
Clear old pairings first. If your device was connected before — to this TV or another — it may not re-enter pairing mode automatically. On Fire TV: go to Controllers & Bluetooth Devices, highlight the device, and choose Unpair. On the headphone or speaker side, hold the pairing button for 8–10 seconds to factory-reset the Bluetooth memory, then try pairing fresh.
Bring the device closer. Stay within 10 feet during pairing. Distance plus interference drops the signal below what’s needed to initiate a handshake.
Power cycle both devices. Unplug the TV from the wall (not just standby mode) and fully power off the Bluetooth device. Wait 30 seconds. Restart both, re-enter pairing mode, and try again.
Check the 7-device cap (Fire TV only). If the limit is reached, the TV silently refuses to scan for new devices. Unpair something first, then retry.
Connection Keeps Dropping
Insignia Fire TV Bluetooth operates on the 2.4GHz band — the same frequency as most home Wi-Fi routers, microwave ovens, and baby monitors. A router positioned directly behind the TV causes persistent dropout.
